About UsAbout Us We live in Eastern Colorado, with a beautiful view of Pikes Peak and 40
acres for the dogs and other animals to play. I have had dogs since 1 year
of age, a registered German Shepherd, I showed 4-H in 1976, and was then
very interested in the sport.
My husband raised in Texas and worked in Australia managing a cattle ranch,
has had cattle dog mixes for working since the 70's, He was the one who
wanted me to try showing ACD's , At the time and even now I showed
Rottweilers.
My boys are very active in 4-H also, They show
Boer goats, pigs, sheep,
dogs, poultry, rabbits and both have been Grand Champion and Reserve
Champion in Trap shooting.
I had and still have Rotts, and he wanted a Cattle Dogs, so one thing lead
to another and now we just have a passion for them.
My children sleep with the new puppies and are usually there with me for the
delivery of every litter. We have never had a litter that someone was not
here to watch and help as needed.
Our first ACD, was CH YARRABEES TRUE GRITT CD, he was mainly to be an
obedience dog, but decided to try conformation with him and he loved it so
much that not only did he get his Obedience title we received a Conformation
title as well.
The most cattle dogs we have had at one time has been 5, We want to make
sure we have time for the dogs plus everything else we do. And vacations
almost never happen 1 in 15 years, Our dogs are too important to just let
anyone watch for us.
